PRR 6825, M-1, 1956
Price. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Bill Price that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 8 November 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6825, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. It's departing the Enola Yard with a merchandise freight train. Note the two railroaders at the right, heading toward their cabin car for another run to Altoona or Renovo.
