Semaphore at Moore Street  Contributor's Pick!
This is the eastbound sempahore and smash board at Moore Street. This is the location of the second Hackensack depot on the Susquehanna. The smashboard dates back to when the drawbride over the Hackensack River hadn't yet been welded shut. When the bridge was open, this signal would drop in the path of the train, and break with a loud noise if a train went through it, acting as a secondary alert (after the signal) and a telltale that a train had ignored a stop signal.
