Description:  Rainy. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Horseshoe Curve necr Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 October 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2291, #2323, #2265, and #2519. #2291, #2323, and #2265 are EF-25's built by EMD and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #2291 and #2265 were built in 1964, but #2323 was built in 1965. #2519 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. "They are pulling a 55-car eastbound TrucTrain around the Curve to Altoona and points East with caboose #477463.

Description:  Horseshoe Curve-1966. Here is an original photo that I took at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in May of 1966. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2291 and three more diesels. #2291 is an EF-25 built by GM-EMD in June of 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. In this context, they're rounding the Curve with an autorack train and are heading down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East. (#15 of 39)
