Nice photo of the Alco-Rhode Island 0-6-0 yard switcher built in August of 1906 for the Wabash RR as their #531. Specs - serial #41171, class B-7, 52" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 154,040 lb, tractive effort of 34,673 lb. The loco was sold to the Northern Indiana Sand & Gravel Company in December of 1951. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo but it appears to be sitting outside the Wabash Shops in Decatur, IL, now the NS shops. |
