This old weed spraying tank car is on a remote, weed grown siding in Mansfield, La. (KCS). The top has been popped and its obvious that nothing has been in the car for a long time. The number may not be right, but I believe the reporting mark is (not much is legible on the car). This siding used to be the connection (until the 40's) between the KCS in Mansfield and the UP's long abandoned line between Mansfield and Shrevport . The line was even an independent railroad - the Mansfield Belt Railroad. |
