GN 4-4-0 #1, " Wm Crooks"          
This is the crowning jewel of the Lake Superior RR Museum and it sits proudlyj ust inside the entrance to the Lake Superior RR Museum. Originally built by the New Jersey Locomotive & Machine Company in 1861 originally for the Minnesota & Pacific Rwy, it was the very first steam locomotive to operate in the state of Minnesota. It's named after the Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Minnesota & Pacific Rwy.
