Shown here is Grif Teller's painting entitled "Leaders Of The Fleet Of Modernism." It was published originally in 1939. Depicted here is PRR engine #6100, the S-1 (6-4-4-6) "Big Engine" built in Juniata during January of 1939 and retired in January of 1949 after just ten years of experimental service. |
