New Orleans & Lower Coast Alco S1 switchers 9013 (on the right) and 9015 were parked next to the railroad’s turntable in Algiers, Louisiana, while a Plymouth was in the roundhouse. All three units wore a version of the paint scheme used by the NO&LC’s owner, the Missouri Pacific. NO&LC 9013-9015 had been built in 1947, were renumbered 6604-6606 around 1962 and were sold to the Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal in 1963, where they were renumbered 22-24.
