NJT E60 #960 - New Jersey Transit
Built by GE originally as Amtrak #960, the electric unit replaced the popular and powerful but aging GG1's. It was then transferred to the New Jersey Transit. In 1998, the group of E60 units were themselves replaced by the new ALP-44 units. Richard Louderback captured this moment while it sat in the South Amboy yard before another commuter run.

Steve Coraggio General Great shot. Sadly the South Amboy Yard is completely gone, being redeveloped 10/13/2020 2:06:05 PM
Tom Beckett General Nice roster shot. I saw GG 1's there. The place to be in South Amboy was at the station, to see these engines swap out with E 8's, though I think they were gone by this date. 10/14/2020 3:16:03 AM
