PRR 9594, BF-16, c. 1966
Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (R to L) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9594 and at least five more "BF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #9594 was constructed in April of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. Looks to me like they've all been marshalled for the Recycling Center . . . alas. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Produced and distributed by Thompson Productions.
