Here is the first of three original photos that were taken in Manasquan, New Jersey. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #16, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1918 and retired in December of 1954 after 36 years of faithful service. In this context, it's stopped at the Manasquan Station with a six-car passenger train. The photographer's name and the date are not recorded. ("Erail888" A; #1 of 3) |
