The southbound train is about halfway across the bridge to Nuevo Laredo, stopped, the nose of the engine just inside Mexico. It is at this point that the US crew gets off, and the Mexican crew gets on. Each crew has to walk to or from its respective country to make the crew change. Seems like this is making something simple a lot more difficult than it needs to be. It would be a lot easier if they did what US and Canadian crews do, run the train into the new country, then taxi back. |
