This run-through train from the CSX to the Union Pacific would become UP M-NOEWB when it left the later road’s AVONDALE YARD. NOEW meant New Orleans to the former Southern Pacific ENGLEWOOD YARD in Houston, and the B indicated that it would be the second train of the day with that symbol. Here it was parked on the Norfolk Southern at Marconi Drive with CSX C40-8W units 7826 and 7877 and UP SD40-2 3477 and a UP crew, waiting for clearance to head for the HUEY P. LONG BRIDGE. |
