GN 2-6-0 #306 - Great Northern
Nice original photo of the Great Northern 2-6-0 Mogul #306 built by Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works in 1887. The photographer, Madison Lake, caught the loco near the Vancouver yard coaling station. It appears that the loco was pulling a second tender which was being filled with water. Specs D-2 class, 55" drivers, modest 150 psi boiler pressure, 19x24" cylinders, small engine weight of 99,800 lb, modest tractive effort of 20,085 lb. The entire class of 60 locomotives was retired by 1926.
