CO 2-8-4 #2711 - Chesapeake & Ohio         
Built by Alco in 1943, this massive and powerful 2-8-4 steam locomotive was labeled a "Kanawha" by the Chesapeake & Ohio for the river which paralleled the mainline instead of Berkshire. Specs - K-4 class, 69" drivers, impressive 245 psi boiler pressue, 26x34" cylinders, engine weight of 460,000 lb, tractive effort of 69.368 lb. Scrapped by May of 1961. C.W. Jernstrom photo
