The Santa Fe war bonnet still looks great and am glad to see BNSF adopt it for a few of their locomotives. Could this be considered one of the first heritage units or just the dying images of a fallen flag?

Alan Fricker General Gary: These locos were ordered by ATSF before the merger. Since GE already had the paint, the BNSF said to use the warbonnet scheme as ordered but change the long hood lettering, according to what I heard. 12/2/2014 9:30:36 AM
