| CN local extracts 5 boxcars from the WSI/Appvion warehouse via former C&NW rails at Milepost 118 at Appleton, WI on 26 Mar. '14. WSI/Appvion is out of frame to the right, reached by a sharp S-curve that really makes the flanges squeal. The pair of tan buildings in the photo belong to someone else; they have a spur but don't appear to receive rail service. They spotted 2 new boxcars at the warehouse, meaning the train would pull 29 cars the rest of the way to the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction after servicing Kimberly, Combined Locks, and Appleton. |
