| Although it was officially still a Wheeling & Lake Erie loco, this 1918 Brooks-Alco M-1 class "heavy Mikado" would be renumbered by the Nickel Plate Road in 1949 to #688. It had the typical 63" drivers and 200 psi boiler pressure common to all NKP Mikados. Sadly it was sold for scrap on 4/23/1955 to the Luntz Iron & Steel Co. |
