| One of five CREX locomotives being towed on CSX train X787-03 from Cumberland to New Castle. In 2011and 2012 these were being leased to CSX, helping them solve their locomotive shortage. Now with CSX's recent new locomotive orders being filled, these veteran GE's are now expendable. I'll miss seeing them around, but at least they are not being scrapped.CREX 9039 was built as CNW 8512 in July 1989 and was renumbered UP 9039 after the merger. |
