This is an LMS 5MT class (Black Five) 4-6-0. number 44747. It was built at Crew works July 1948 ID 3889. It had Caprotti valve gear and timken roller bearings and as such was considered "experimental" It was withdrawn April 1963 and cut up at Crew works November 1963.
