David Barrentine General Nice shot, William. That looks like a GP30, have they upgraded it and reclassified it as a GP39-2? 5/9/2011 8:32:29 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks David, Yes, the 2807 is now classified as a GP39-2, that's what's labeled on the frame of the locomotive. It's been rebuilt to GP39-2 specifications, but was a former GP30U obviously. At least they still attain the GP30U body style which is a cool looking unique design 5/9/2011 8:39:02 AM

William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Jim, Busy location as well, you can easily catch 40 plus trains in daylight in the summer, back when I kept a log book in the 90's I saw over 60 trains in 12 hours in the summer months counting both NS & CSXT as well as Amtrak & BNSF, lots of locals & transfers in the area as well, which are some of the best trains to catch today being they still run with the good old coventional cab power. 5/18/2011 10:38:53 AM
