On IANW, this took two trips from the elevator to Spirit Lake, where we split again into 2 cuts each in order to make "Mount Mother", a 2% grade just east of Spirit Lake. We shoved outbounds for several miles, since there was no run-around at the UP interchange. The fun of shortlining. BTW, the flagging on 8711 is left over from the Fireworks passenger train the day before. |
