PAR 6101
Description:
Pacific Railroad Society car PAR 6101 was originally Union Pacific 6101, one of six UP dormitory-lounge cars (6100-6105) built by American Car & Foundry in 1949. All of the cars were retired in 1970-71. It was photographed on the northbound SOUTHERN CRESCENT leaving New Orleans, and it was eventually assigned Amtrak number 800247.
