Description:  The northbound signal at CPR 1 in Springfield. This interlocking is guarded entirely by dwarf signals. This siding is south approach to the remains of Round Hill (Springfield Yard). At this time, the south end of the siding was the only end, signaled. The northbound signal was put on a small post and retained. The north end of the siding was interlocked and CTC in 2015 with the return of Amtrak. A new signal is being installed in 2019 of a traffic light style to replace these searchlight dwarves.

Description:  Another big, blue sky shot of the CP/CN freight transfer, approaching the Miller Road overpass on the CP Hamilton Subdivision. The Welland Canal tunnel is just ahead. This will be the last shot of the day with the clouds about to take over for good. But I did luck out twice this morning on both of the CP freight shots - with the sun coming out literally just in the nick of time to light up the train at both locations. That has NEVER happened before.
