Description: |
Thanks to the research efforts of ChuckZeiler, he has clarified the confusion from having two #409 on the IHB roster. This one was buiilt by Alco-Schenectady in August of 1923. In 1950, the loco was transferred to the NYC roster as their #1487. The loco served the NYC until retirement in 1955. Specifics - serial #64733, class H-5t, 63# drivers, 25x32" cylinders.
