Description:  Here is the fourth of eight original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken from the 17th Street Bridge in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6753, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata as an M-1A during May of 1930, rebuilt as an M-1B in November of 1948, and retired in February of 1958 after 28 years of faithful service. The road numbers of the other locomotives pictured here are not recorded.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6753, an M-1B built in Juniata as an M-1A during May of 1930, rebuilt as an M-1B in November of 1948, and retired in February of 1958 after 28 years of faithful service. In this context, it's pulling a mixed-cargo freight train out of Enola under the four-track Watering Point to Altoona and points West.
