Here are 23 photos of Pennsylvania Railroad steam and diesel-electric locomotives. Also included are two photos of engines owned by two other railroads. All of them were purchased via a single eBay auction conducted by Mr. Keith Burkey on Wednesday, 03 November 2021. The photographer's name, the locomotive road number(s), the date, and the location are provided when available.

Burkey. Here is the first of five photos via Raymond Wolfgang that were taken near Lewistown, Pennsylvania, c. 1938. Prominent here is an unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad Class K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" steam locomotive pulling a passenger train out of Harrisburg that's bound for Altoona and points West. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6811, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in August of 1926 and retired in September of 1959. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #6361, a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata in July of 1926 and retired in February of 1959. Burkey. Here is the first of two original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. July of 1963. In the foreground are two handsome youngsters whose names are not recorded. Towering behind them is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1361, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918, retired in September of 1956, enshrined at the Horseshoe Curve on 08 June 1957, restored for excursion service during 1987-1988, then withdrawn from service and disassembled due to safety concerns, and still not reassembled to wholeness. Burkey. Here is the second of two original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. July of 1963. Prominent in the foreground are two handsome youngsters whose names are not recorded. Beyond them (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2229, #2508, and an "AF" Class unit whose road number is not recorded. #2229 is an EF-22 built by GM-EMD in April of 1963 and rated at 2,200 horsepower. while #2508 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in September of 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. In this context, they're rounding the Curve with a freight train that's on its way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. Wave to the Fireman! (#22 of 25)
