Album Info:I never got around to posting the photos from my Amtrak trip to Massachusetts, May 24-28 of 2016. There were a ton of amazing sights that you could only see if you were riding a train on the route! Getting good photographs was a chore due to the speed of the ride, and while I tried my best, some of them turned out a little rough. I only uploaded the best ones. However, I think many of you will enjoy the ones I have to post. Southbound was better than northbound, but I'll be uploading the northbound ones at a future date as well. Enjoy!

Pawtucket-Central Falls Station Platforms
Title:  Pawtucket-Central Falls Station Platforms
Description:  Believe it or not, this is where train travellers from Pawtucket used to board New York, New Haven, and Hartford trains. The aging station building, over the tracks, was built between 1915-16 but has been closed since 1959. Its structural integrity is considered questionable, but still it sits, above the busiest passenger route in the United States. It probably will not be there much longer, but I would love to see it restored!

Description:  Normally, it is not possible to photograph stations this big from inside the train pulling in, but the curve before it gave me the angle I needed. This was a cool one to get, because it is really historic! The current building opened in 1887, serving the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad as well as the Central Vermont Railroad.
